In brief
I was born in Cluj-Napoca. I graduated from the Faculty of Law in 2004 and completed a master’s degree in criminal law in 2005, both at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj.
I have been a member of the Cluj Bar since 2007. I started out in civil law, but soon realised that criminal law suited me better. In 2010 I founded, together with two colleagues, a law firm dedicated exclusively to criminal cases. It was a valuable experience and taught me a great deal.
Since 2021 I have practised on my own, which fits me better. That does not mean I work alone — I collaborate closely with a number of colleagues, some of them friends.
Because I want the profession to keep developing, I serve as a member of the Council of the Cluj Bar and of the Council of the National Union of Romanian Bar Associations.
And because scholarship drives professional development, I have been involved in founding two specialist journals: Jurnalul Baroului Cluj, as editor-in-chief, and Penalmente Relevant, as editorial secretary.
Working in English
I regularly represent foreign nationals in criminal proceedings in Romania and conduct their cases in English — correspondence, explanation of the file, preparation for hearings and strategy. For the official hearings themselves an authorised court interpreter is used, as Romanian law requires.

Publications
Since 2005 I have published a number of specialist articles in criminal law and criminal procedure.
I am a co-author of Codul de procedură penală. Comentariu pe articole (the article-by-article commentary on the Romanian Code of Criminal Procedure), edited by Mihail Udroiu, published by C.H. Beck — second, third and fourth editions, the latest published in 2023.
